Apartment moving lives on details a house never asks for: elevator windows, parking rules, a building manager with a form. AG Moving&Storage crews handle those details across Los Angeles and Orange County, with free estimates and a capped bill.
Apartment moving covers studios, one-bedrooms, large condos and everything between, in both counties we serve.
A whole-house move belongs on the residential page, and if you only need muscle for a rental truck, the labor-only page prices that. Everything else with a unit number on the door lands here.
Stairs, Elevators and Building COIs
Stairs, elevators and building COIs decide how an apartment move actually goes, so we ask about all three before we quote.
Many buildings in Los Angeles and Orange County want a certificate of insurance on file before a crew touches the freight elevator. We carry full insurance, and we sort the COI paperwork with your building's management ahead of move day, along with the elevator window your building allows.
A third-floor walk-up with no elevator is a crew-size question, not a refusal; the estimate accounts for the stairs before move day.
Door Shields and Floor Runners Included
Door shields and floor runners come included on every apartment move, along with the rest of the kit: up to 8 loaner wardrobe boxes, speed-pack boxes, ramps and straps, unlimited wrap and tape, and thick moving blankets.
In a building, protection reaches past your own things. Hallway walls, lobby floors and elevator cabs stay covered while we work, which keeps your deposit intact and your manager calm.
Apartment Moving Rates
Apartment moving rates run hourly and quote-first: crew size, hours and access set the figure, and you approve it in writing before anyone books an elevator.
Stairs and long carries add time rather than fees, which is why the estimate walk-through asks about them. Each mover past the 2-mover baseline adds $40 per hour, and California Double Drive Time applies on moves over 10 miles.
No deposit on standard bookings. Same-day and last-minute bookings may require a deposit, confirmed with your quote. The written estimate caps your final bill either way.
Where We Move Renters
We move renters across Los Angeles County and Orange County: Long Beach and Downey, Norwalk and Cerritos, Buena Park and Cypress, and up through Hollywood, Glendale, Burbank, Santa Monica, Pasadena and Torrance.
If the new lease starts after the old one ends, crew-handled storage takes the gap: we pick up, store short or long term with climate-controlled space available, and redeliver when your unit opens.
Frequently asked questions
Do you handle building COI requirements?
Yes. We carry full insurance and provide the certificate of insurance your building's management asks for before move day, and we coordinate the elevator reservation at the same time.
Do stairs or an elevator change the price?
They change the hours, and hours set the price. Stairs, long carries and slow elevators mean more crew time, so we ask about access when we quote; the figure you approve already reflects it, and the final bill cannot pass the estimate.
Do you charge a deposit?
No deposit on standard bookings. Same-day and last-minute bookings may require a deposit, confirmed with your quote.
